How to paint galvanised sheet metal
Created date: 2025-01-03

Galvanised iron sheet is not the same as ordinary iron sheet, after galvanised, the surface properties have changed, the zinc layer surface is smooth, most of the paint can't adhere to it, it is very easy to drop paint off, and can't play the role of anti-corrosion protection. Although galvanised has a certain anti-corrosion effect, but used in more harsh environments, the use of paint coating is still necessary.

For galvanised iron sheet painting, must use special paint, ED1000 epoxy primer, is dedicated to galvanised substrate anti-corrosion coatings, has a very good adhesion, to ensure that the paint film does not come off, corrosion resistance is excellent.

ED1000 epoxy primer main features:

Can be used for galvanised iron, stainless steel, aluminium alloy, aluminium plate, cast iron, carbon steel and other substrates, strong adhesion, does not fall off, no paint off

No sanding of the substrate, no sandblasting, no sanding, save manpower and material costs, the use of solvents to scrub the surface to remove oil can be constructed.

Salt spray resistance time reaches 1000 hours, with excellent anti-corrosion properties.

The paint does not contain heavy metal components, no harm to the human body, in line with the EU solvent emission standards.

Can be matched with fluorocarbon paint, polyurethane paint, epoxy paint and other topcoats.

The paint has solvent-based and water-based environmental protection type.

There is no special requirement for painting ED1000 epoxy primer on galvanised iron plate, it can be applied by normal brushing or spraying process.
